About this property

Switch off from the humdrum of everyday life in this idyllic rural retreat in the Devon countryside. You’ll find a myriad of walks directly from your front door, or you can head to the coast (25 miles) to join the long-distance South West Coast Path. For shopping and eating out, the historic city of Exeter is just 10 miles away. In the evenings, dine alfresco on the terrace, followed by a soak in your private hot tub.

The charming, wood-clad retreat sits adjacent to the owner’s home, surrounded by open countryside. Inside, the accommodation is open plan and has a studio apartment-style vibe. To the front of the pod is a welcoming lounge area with a sofa to sink into after a busy day, and a Smart TV for enjoying a movie night together. The sleek kitchen area has been cleverly designed to include everything needed to rustle up tasty dishes for two. To the rear of the property is an inviting king-size bed and a separate shower room. Outside, dine alfresco on a summer’s evening on the terrace, admiring the far-reaching views across rolling fields. After dinner, sink into the bubbling hot tub under the stars. There are on-site stables and kennels, should you require daycare for horses or dogs during your holiday.

The holiday home sits on the edge of Dartmoor National Park, providing mile upon mile of remote walking routes through the wild and rugged landscape. As well as its iconic granite tors and heather-clad moorland, the park also boasts pretty picnic spots and a fantastic choice of places for wild swimming. What a lovely pod, everything and more inside. Lovely sausage, bacon and egg breakfast and milk for a cup of tea. They also look after the dog as well with treats. The location is out in the sticks but also perfect. Loved looking over the valley and at the horses in the evening. I think the best review to give is would I return. YES definitely.
