The Thatched Cottage in Devon offers stunning views and a homely feel, with ample space for families and a well-equipped kitchen. Guests have enjoyed the beautiful garden, the hot tub, and the property's charm and character. While some guests mentioned issues with cleanliness and maintenance, the overall experience has been positive, with many expressing a desire to return.
Cleanliness received mixed reviews, with several guests noting areas that required attention, such as dust, dirty carpets, and unclean outdoor furniture. However, others found the property clean and inviting, leading to a slightly above-average score.
The location is praised for its stunning views and tranquility, despite being near a main road. The lack of secure garden for dogs and limited walking options without driving slightly affected the score.
Guests found the property comfortable, with cosy rooms and inviting beds. Some mentioned the need for additional blankets and the coldness in upstairs bedrooms, but overall, the comfort level was high.
Facilities like the hot tub were highlights, though some guests reported maintenance issues such as broken garden furniture and outdoor lighting. The well-equipped kitchen was a plus, but the need for repairs in some areas impacted the score.

Crediton is a lively market town a short drive north-west of Exeter's cathedral city, in a region of Devon known as "Red Devon," so named because of the characteristic red soil that is of great agricultural quality and ideal for growing swedes. This is a rural part in Devon that is peaceful and unspoiled, with ruby cattle grazing among the rolling green meadows. There are several dispersed towns with warm inns, well-stocked farm stores, and inviting residents.
