For a family-friendly day out, drive to the nearby town of Tiverton (4 miles) and hire out a barge to see the canal in style. Or if you prefer to keep your feet on solid ground, try the tree-lined walk through Wellington Monument (20 miles). But every visitor should make time to explore Devon's world-famous Jurassic Coast. The seaside town of Seaton is a particular highlight. While there, be sure to take the Seaton Tramway through the stunning Axe Valley.
