Some of North Devon’s most scenic beaches await within reach of this marvellous country cottage, an abode that’s located between Barnstaple (3 miles) and Instow (4 miles). Offering all kinds of adventures from coastal walks to nature reserve bike rides and excursions on the water, you’ll never fall short of things to do when staying here. The property enjoys an excellent vantage point with waterside views out over the River Taw from its first-floor bedroom, a great place to stay as a pair on a romance-seeking retreat. It’s also dog friendly with a generous garden, ideal for canine-loving couples to fill their days with unforgettable North Devon dog walks.

Leave coats and boots on the porch before settling down in the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. An extremely comfortable and well equipped cottage in a fantastic location. Cheryl really has thought of everything from the scones and clotted cream (delicious) to the extremely comfortable queen size bed. All that you need for a fabulously relaxing break.

This cottage is fantastic & the host made sure that we enjoyed our stay. The cottage was spotlessly clean & well appointed. The hot tub was brilliant little extra too. It is in close proximity to The Tarka Trail with a bike hire shop within walking distance & only a 5 -10 minute drive from major supermarkets (depending on traffic). The whole property is super dog friendly with a COMPLETELY enclosed, generously sized garden which helped make our stay even more enjoyable knowing that if we opened the door to let our pup out, there was no way that she was going to be able to escape. We have already recommended The Tack Room to friends who are looking to stay in the Devon area
