Guests appreciate the property's character, cleanliness, and the welcoming touches provided by the owners. While some minor issues with the shower and lighting were noted, the overall experience is highly regarded, with the convenience of a parking space and the proximity to the beach being standout features.

Guests consistently describe the cottage as clean, with mentions of beautiful presentation and crisp white bed linen, indicating a high standard of cleanliness throughout the property.

The location is highly praised for its proximity to beaches, restaurants, and local attractions, with guests enjoying the ease of access to Croyde's offerings.

The cottage is frequently described as comfortable and cosy, with a well-appointed interior and comfortable bedding. However, some guests noted the property could be a bit dark inside.

Facilities are generally well-received, with a well-equipped kitchen and the bonus of a parking space. However, there are comments about a temperamental shower and the absence of a dryer, which slightly detract from the overall facilities score.

Guests feel welcomed by the thoughtful touches such as biscuits and tea, although these gestures are not guaranteed and may vary with each stay.

Pleasant stay at Smithy - a house full of character be it a bit dark for us in the day in the lounge but the gorgeous log burner made up for that in the evenings Well equipped kitchen and great to have some biscuits and milk and tea n coffee stuff left. Beautiful crisp white bed linen and property felt clean Not a great shower in bathroom as others have said as water pressure poor but not an issue as chose to use the bath instead. Location amazing in spitting distance of The Thatch and brilliant to have a parking space at the back of the property.

Lovely cottage and the owners have done a great job of making their guests feel welcome. Extremely well equipped with a lot of thought put in. Had a great stay.

Great location - a bit dark inside - probably due to it raining every day!
