Combe Martin is located where the Exmoor National Park and the North Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty converge. This modest beach resort is a popular destination for both locals and tourists because it has all the amenities needed. The beach at Combe Martin is highly well-liked, and the sheltered cove there is great for rock-pooling and paddle-boarding. The hamlet also has a dinosaur and wildlife park! The famous Earl of Rone festival and an annual funfair are both hosted at Combe Martin each year in May. With Lynton and Lynmouth, Woolacombe, Croyde Bay, Saunton Sands, Ilfracombe, and Barnstaple all within easy driving distance, this is a great starting point for exploring and learning about North Devon. Also, there are many National Trust homes and gardens that are just waiting to be explored.

Very clean property and well equipped. Appreciate the tea and coffee box and small dishwashing liquid. Also, really appreciate the small bottle of milk in the fridge. Things that could make the property more comfortable 1. Warmer lighting: white bulbs aren't great for a cottage/cabin. Make it feel less relaxing. 2. Retractable awning: It rains a lot in England, an awning would allow guests to sit on the deck and enjoy the views. 3. Wifi: it's not that expensive to add wifi to the cabins. Sykes confused us with the instructions they sent about checking in. Email said we need to collect keys from reception but there was no one there when we arrived at around 5pm, we tried calling the number provided but no one responded for 20 mins so we just went to the cabin and found it open with the keys inside. We did get a text from the number we were calling, a few minutes later, confirming that it is self check-in.

It suited us, three adults and a 9-year old very well. We did not eat out, but cooked for ourselves, as most families with young children would do. A few random dishes /.bowls for storing the inevitable leftovers in the fridge would be helpful. We did not use the dishwasher, because one meal did not fill it up, we were reluctant to waste water and electricity on a partially filled washer and there was not enough cutlery and crockery for two meals. 8 of everything rather than 6 would have been very helpful.
