A perfect base for exploring the delights of this pretty Exmoor village, Stone Cottage is a comfortable and spacious end terraced Victorian cottage situated just a short stroll from the centre of Lynton and within walking distance of The Valley of the Rocks. Being built on the hillside, a climb to the top of the tiered garden reveals wonderful coastal views and this is a perfect spot for relaxing with morning coffee or evening glass of wine. The accommodation is bright and welcoming with stripped pine polished floors and many original features throughout. A log burning stove is flanked by comfy seating, the dining room features a Rayburn and the attractive shaker style breakfast kitchen features oak beams and butler sink. On the first floor a twin room with original feature fireplace and a single room are both served by a shower room and separate cloakroom. This floor also features a pretty garden/sitting room with French doors opening on to the rear decked terrace and steep steps up into the raised and layered gardens, which although fabulous for adults, may be unsuitable for small children. The stylish master bedroom on the second floor enjoys wonderful sea views in one direction and beautiful countryside views in the other and is served by a spacious bathroom with roll top bath. Lynton has a special mix of galleries, crafts and antique shops together with pubs and restaurants. The walk down to Lynmouth is a must and the ride back on the famous cliff railway is always enjoyable. For families or couples looking for a great holiday base in a central location, Stone Cottage is the perfect choice.

Ideal for our needs , well equipped , great cooker & lovely to have Rayburn on . Garden a bonus although didn't use it much as weather variable . Sunroom great to have . Great location for gorgeous walks & close to town centre

really enjoyed our stay, property feels like a home rather than a let - which is perfect. Realise it was off season and I guess a few external maintenance bits will happen - but VERY pleased over all and we will look to book again for certain.

A very beautiful cottage which gave us a warm welcome, in a town where you find all you need for a holiday: stillness and life, beautiful surroundings, but also shops and restaurants - and last but not least many wonderful walks along the coast, the riversides and through the moor.
