Nestled in a truly spectacular location on the North Devon coast, and lying 3 miles west of Lynton, Twigs is the perfect destination for a getaway from it all break for two.
Set among the soaring ancient oak trees of Woody Bay, Twigs provides cool and contemporary accommodation in a tranquil location. Recently completed by the owner to the standard of a luxury hotel, on entering the cottage, which is arranged all on one level, the attention to detail immediately becomes apparent. Light and bright accommodation greets you; arranged as open-plan 'loft' style living. The kitchen is equipped with everything you could need to make your stay as comfortable and relaxing as possible. The ultra high spec shower room adds a touch of luxury and the open-plan living/dining/bedroom is the perfect place to relax with a good book or catch up with the latest releases on the TV. The bi-fold doors allow a seamless transition from indoor to outdoor living, and the perfect setting to enjoy your morning coffee, or an evening glass of bubbly on the private deck. You also have the opportunity to use the owner's garden end enjoy the lovely views across the bay to the south Wales coastline. The only thing that will disturb your peace and quiet are the multitude of birds found here (or the occasional walker using the coast footpath which runs immediately to the side of the cottage). From the property take a short walk down the hill, leading to a secluded shingle beach, home to a picturesque waterfall, large rocks and a Victorian bathing pool to swim in. In Victorian times this was proposed to be a major destination, with the construction of a hotel, pier and golf course but today the hotel has been converted into a private home, and the pier and golf course have long since vanished, leaving a glorious, unspoiled, tranquil spot. If you can tear yourself away, the cottage is close to a variety of places that offer outdoor activities such as riding, sea, lake and river fishing, golf and surfing. You can explore all of this at Saunton Sands, Ilfracombe, Croyde Bay and Combe Martin. Despite being England’s smallest National Park, Exmoor has been named the most exquisite as it rises behind the rocky cliffs with its moors and streams. The historical market town of Barnstaple is a short drive away, as well as the seaside resort of Minehead. Twigs is the perfect choice for couples wanting to soak up the scenic splendour of Devon.

It was comfortable with everything you needed. It was in a beautiful location with a friendly owner who suggested possible walks from the property Our one concern was the slippery decking steps down to where you leave the car however you didnât have to use this route.
Roy
Great location for quiet relaxing stay and friendly helpful owner. Very easy access to local walks which are very well sign posted and used. Takes a while to get used to having no internet, so used to looking things up.
