This beautiful detached North Molton cottage has a lofty open plan living space with floor-to-ceiling windows, vaulted beamed ceilings and a woodburner, creating a room filled with light and a cosy atmosphere on cooler occasions. After a day of rambling, look forward to spending your down time here, reflecting upon the day or tuning into the TV and catch up on your favourite shows. The kitchen/diner has slate floors and a large refectory table, and with stylish furnishings throughout, making this a splendid spot for a special family gathering. Each of the three king-size double bedrooms have en-suite facilities, with the ground floor bedroom perfect for less mobile guests. The lawns at the front of the cottage overlook the sweeping river valley, and provide a glorious, sunny spot to prepare holiday plans together on summer afternoons. North Molton, an ancient community, is a great place to start exploring Exmoor and North Devon's spectacular shoreline. The village has a welcoming pub, Post Office, and a village shop selling home-grown fruit from nearby farms and exquisite home-baked items, while South Molton, a few miles away, has a variety of shops and a twice-weekly market. This charming community, which is conveniently located near both coastal and inland beauty sites, is guaranteed to appeal to guests of all tastes. Forests, moors, rivers, and beaches are all nearby, as are churches and other historical structures, and the Exmoor National Park's border is only a mile or two away. The South West Coast Path provides excellent walking opportunities, and the North Devon shoreline is varied and interesting. Watersmeet Gorge, Valley of the Rocks, and the funicular cliff train are all National Trust properties. Exmoor has a variety of treks for all levels, as well as beautiful locations to explore such as Tarr Steps, Landacre Bridge, and the delightful tiny settlement of Withypool. Further afield, the towns of Ilfracombe and Combe Martin are well worth a visit, and a day trip to Woolacombe and Saunton is not to be missed for some of the best beaches in the country.

    The house was well equipped for our 2, 3 and 6 year olds with travel cot, stair gates, high chair, smaller cutlery and plenty of space to run around outside. The house was clean and tidy and had everything we needed to self cater. The hot tub was a treat and we enjoyed using the bbq. The house and gardens were really well kept and the owners gave us a warm welcome and were very attentive. We enjoyed being in the countryside surrounded by farmland, it was so peaceful.

    The accommodation was spacious and cost, and beautifully decorated. The kitchen is really well kitted out, and the fridge, freezer and oven are big, perfect for catering for lots of people. The views and grounds are lovely and the hot tub was beautifully warm and clean. The owners were very responsive to any little problems. Absolutely brilliant!

    Really good to have a large fridge freezer and lots of pots, pans, crockery and glasses sufficient for a large group. Lots of hot water for showers and the hot tub was great. We were very comfortable and really enjoyed our stay, thank you.
