For a fun and quirky getaway on a working farm, book a break at this barn conversion. It’s great for a mixed group and their dog looking for a peaceful holiday with lots of outdoorsy adventures and relaxed sociable time, set in stunning North Devon.

You can watch films, play games and chat in the lounge area, then prepare food in the kitchen – and make delicious drinks with the coffee machine – then eat at the farmhouse-style table. You’ll have access to the garden from the living space, enclosed (not sure how, no pictures) and featuring a lawn, patio, seating area and a BBQ, perfect for sunny afternoons.

This property is in a remote area, and it’s perfectly located for anyone who loves outdoorsy days out. Pack your pup and a picnic, then visit the Exmoor National Park (8.5 miles), which is full of incredible wildlife, or view ancient woodland at Eggesford Forest, 11 miles. Equestrians should check out Collacott Equestrian Centre, 3 miles, for incredible hacking for all abilities, and golfers are welcome at The Mole Resort Golf Club (6 miles). Pub less than a mile away at George Nympton.
