Guests say

Guests generally appreciate the well-appointed, cosy cottage with its superb views and beautiful furnishings. The location is praised for its proximity to the beach and Burgh Island, offering a tranquil atmosphere ideal for relaxation. While some guests mention dated decor and the need for updates, the overall sentiment is positive, with many looking forward to returning.

The property is frequently described as very clean, with several guests highlighting its cosiness and warmth. However, a few reviews mention that the property appeared tired and in need of maintenance, which slightly impacts the overall perception of cleanliness.

The location is highly praised for its outstanding views, proximity to the beach, and the unique experience of Burgh Island. The peaceful and quiet setting is a highlight for many guests, despite the narrow access roads which are noted as part of the charm.

Comfort is generally well-received, with guests enjoying the spacious rooms and en-suite bathrooms. However, some guests found the beds uncomfortable and suggested improvements, such as upgrading to a king-size bed in the master bedroom.

Facilities like the well-appointed kitchen and the on-site pool are appreciated, but there are several mentions of maintenance issues and the need for updates. The closure of facilities due to external circumstances like lockdowns has also been noted, although this is beyond the control of the property.

Guests have expressed gratitude for thoughtful gestures such as a welcome cake and wine. While these gifts are warmly received, it is important to note that such offerings are subject to availability and are not guaranteed for every stay.

Also great quality furnishings. Two minutes walk to beach, as you are actually almost on it. The sound of sea and fresh air, not to beaten.

Despite the weather we had a very comfortable stay as the apartment is extremely well equipped. If I had one little quibble it was that the wall units are overloaded with crockery and glasses, leaving just the awkward corner unit for the shopping we brought with us for the week (to avoid driving on the narrow lanes) so that was spread over the work tops. We had takeaway fish and chips from the restaurant one evening - what a great asset to the complex. All in all, a very relaxing week! This was our second visit to No. 24 and we are so grateful that the owners allow 2 dogs as it is really difficult to find such a lovely place in a lovely location that does.
