Guests say

Guests have enjoyed their stay at 29b Lower Street, praising its cleanliness, charming decor, and prime location in Dartmouth. The apartment's well-equipped kitchen and thoughtful touches like provided toiletries were appreciated. While some guests found the beds comfortable, one noted the double bed was uncomfortable. The property's proximity to local attractions and the inclusion of a parking permit added to the convenience, despite some difficulties with steps and customer service.

The property is consistently described as clean, with 'snowy white' bedding and towels, contributing to a pleasant stay.

The location is highly praised for being central, with easy access to town amenities, river views, and nearby attractions.

Comfort received mixed reviews; while some guests found the beds very comfortable and the apartment homely, one guest experienced discomfort with the double bed.

The apartment is well-equipped, especially the kitchen, and guests enjoyed the extra amenities. However, a minor issue with a light bulb and lack of information on parking slightly affected the score.

Guests appreciated the extra touches like toiletries, although a welcome pack such as milk or cake was missed. It should be noted that such gifts are a bonus and not guaranteed.

Dartmouth lies on the banks of the beautiful River Dart estuary in the popular and picturesque South Hams area of South Devon. Located within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and close to the coast, Dartmouth is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Devon. It offers a stunning waterfront, ancient narrow streets lined with boutique shops, restaurants and art galleries plus many local events such as the annual Dart Music Festival and the Port of Dartmouth Royal Regatta, along with the Dartmouth Food Festival held every October. There are many interesting cycling and walking routes around Dartmouth, including the South West Coast Path, the Dart Valley Trail and plenty of quiet country lanes. A trip on the Dartmouth Steam Railway through picturesque countryside to Paignton is a must, and so is a boat trip across to Kingswear and on to Brixham, a pretty little harbour town. For those seeking some beach activities, there is a wide choice in the South Hams area such as Blue Flag Award winner Blackpool Sands, and Slapton Sands, both extremely popular and just a stone's throw from Dartmouth. Interest in the street below all day and clear views of the river. Bedrooms are all at the back away from the street noise. Good banisters on outside stairs.

The steps up to the apartment did not cause any issues with our party members and were worth it for the view from the lounge area. The separation between the two main bedrooms worked perfectly for privacy. We highly recommended this accommodation. Having a parking permit was very helpful and the car park was only a short distance away.

Really clean and very well equipped kitchen. Loved the extra touches left by the owners such as shampoos, conditioner, shower gel, washing up liquid, foil. You're never quite sure what will be available so end up bringing everything. More info on parking would have been helpful. Tried to contact Sykes twice while we were away and never heard back. Your customer service and contact could have been much better. Light bulb gone in the bunk room. Otherwise a lovely break away.
