During the day, take a short walk into the centre of Dartmouth where you can pick up self-catering essentials, browse independent shops or enjoy a break from the kitchen with a meal out at The Royal Castle, the 14th-century Cherub Inn, or the Dartmouth Arms. Follow the river along to the impressive riverside ruins of Dartmouth Castle or to find Sugary Cove Beach where you can admire breath-taking views across the estuary. Hope on a riverboat and head across to Kingswear where you can tour Kingswear Castle, spot the iconic Dragon’s Tail or explore the beloved holiday home of Agatha Christie, Greenway. All this and more awaits at 30 Dart Marina.

Dartmouth, a popular and lovely town in South Devon, is located on the banks of the River Dart estuary. Dartmouth is a major tourist attraction in Devon due to its proximity to the shore and the fact that it is located inside an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The town hosts many yearly events, including the Dart Music Festival, the Port of Dartmouth Royal Regatta, and the Dartmouth Food Festival, all of which take use of the town's beautiful waterfront and historic, winding alleys dotted with boutique shops, restaurants, and art galleries. The South West Coast Way, the Dart Valley Trail, and many peaceful rural lanes make the area around Dartmouth ideal for bicycling and walking. The Dartmouth Steam Railway ride through the countryside to Paignton is a must, as is the boat ride over to Kingswear and on to Brixham, a lovely small harbour town. Blackpool Sands, winner of the Blue Flag Award, and Slapton Sands, a popular beach not far from Dartmouth, are just two of many options for beachgoers in the South Hams area. A tranquil spot in the heart of South Devon.

Nor how we should leave used bedding etc. this meant contacting the local office and them coming to the flat. Not the best start to a holiday. Carl who did come to the flat was pleasant and helpful, but was a waste of his time. The folder would have saved all that

BUT, the negative comments in the On-line reviews have not been remedied - there is still lots of chipped crockery, the beds are uncomfortable and there are no serving dishes. On top of these, this week, the TV did not get any BBC channels and the shower door makes an incredibly loud cracking sound when being opened - we called a C&C maintenance person who shot a video of it , but neither issues were corrected during our stay. It made us think about who is actually responsible for correcting the problems which are mounting up......how many negative reviews will there be?
