Guests say

Crowthers Cottage in Dartmouth is highly praised for its cleanliness, comfort, and stunning views. Guests appreciate the well-equipped property and its proximity to local attractions, despite the challenging hill. The cosy atmosphere and thoughtful touches, such as a Christmas hamper, contribute to a delightful stay. Some minor maintenance issues and suggestions for outdoor space improvements are noted.

Guests consistently mention the spotless condition of the cottage, indicating a high standard of cleanliness throughout the property.

The location is celebrated for its great views and proximity to Dartmouth's amenities. The steep hill is a recurring mention, suggesting some accessibility concerns, but it also contributes to the property's charm and views.

The cottage is described as cosy and comfortable, with very comfy beds and a layout suitable for families. However, steep stairs are noted as a potential issue for some guests.

Facilities are generally well-received, with the property being well-stocked and equipped. Some minor maintenance issues, such as a loose toilet seat and suggestions for patio improvements, slightly affect the score.

While guests mention thoughtful gestures like a Christmas hamper, there is not enough consistent information about regular thoughtful touches to accurately score this category. It should be noted that such gifts are not guaranteed.

Lots of good pubs, shops and restaurants nearby, We had a couple of maintenance issues which were sorted out the same day by the company while we were out of the house, so that was great. It's a very homely property, very welcoming. The only things I would suggest for improvement are a) none of the windows at the front of the house open and b) the terrace could do with a bit of tlc.

Also some pint glasses wouldn't go a miss and maybe a bit of a tidy up on the little patio at the back. Also the bedroom window at the front you can't open so got very warm.

This home had you needed for a pleasant stay. Being on three floors it was quite spacious. Loved sitting outside on the terrace for breakfast watching the boats and the steam train across the river at Kingswear. We left some playing cards for the property as we love a game of cards and that was the only thing that was missing! Lots of lovely local restaurants on your doorstep and picturesque places to walk too. I would definitely recommend as this was in such a great location and I wouldn’t hesitate to book again if we came back to the area.
