Seaview Cottage in Dartmouth offers stunning views and is well-appointed with comfortable beds and spacious bedrooms. While some guests noted dampness in ground floor areas, the property's location and overall standards are highly praised. The proximity to local amenities and the tranquil setting, barring external disturbances, contribute to a positive experience.

The property is generally well-maintained with no specific complaints about cleanliness. The swift response to the damp issue suggests good upkeep, although the presence of dampness prevents a perfect score.

The location is consistently lauded for its stunning views and proximity to local amenities. The only concern is potential parking difficulties during peak season, which slightly affects the score.

Guests find the beds extremely comfortable and the living areas pleasant. However, the mention of damp and cold ground floor bedrooms indicates some discomfort, which affects the score.

The property is well-equipped, especially the kitchen, but guests suggested a larger bin would be beneficial. The dampness issue also suggests a need for maintenance improvements.

There is no mention of gifts or special touches that would indicate thoughtfulness from the property owners. Therefore, this category cannot be scored.

Dartmouth, a popular and lovely town in South Devon, is located on the banks of the River Dart estuary. Dartmouth is one of Devon's most visited cities because of its proximity to the seaside and the National Park that protects it. The town hosts many yearly events, including the Dart Music Festival, the Port of Dartmouth Royal Regatta, and the Dartmouth Food Festival, all of which take use of the town's beautiful waterfront and historic, winding alleys dotted with boutique shops, restaurants, and art galleries. The South West Coast Path, the Dart Valley Trail, and several peaceful rural lanes are just a few of the many beautiful and interesting paths that surround Dartmouth and are perfect for bicycling and walking. Both the boat ride across to Kingswear and on to the lovely tiny harbour town of Brixham, and the ride on the Dartmouth Steam Railway through beautiful countryside to Paignton, are not to be missed. Blackpool Sands, winner of the Blue Flag Award, and Slapton Sands, an immensely popular beach located within a stone's throw from Dartmouth, are just two of the many options available to beachgoers in the South Hams area. Only downside was damp walls/smell in ground floor bedrooms/hallway. Owners reacted swiftly when reported, and a dehumidifier was delivered and emptied several times during our stay which alleviated the problem somewhat. Would definitely consider returning to the property, once the damp problem has been properly resolved . Bring indoor footwear as owners ask visitors to remove footwear downstairs.

There is ample kitchen equipment and the beds are extremely comfortable. The only minor improvement would be a larger bin in the kitchen because with a larger group we were emptying the bin a couple of times most days even with recycling in the local facilities. However it is a very small point and the location, facilities and cleanliness are first-class.

Such a great location, and only a 3 min walk from the parking. We had an amazing time and would definitely come back :)
