7 Beachdown is a well-equipped, spacious, and clean cottage in Kingsbridge, Devon, praised for its proximity to the beach and high standard of furnishings. Guests appreciate the thoughtful touches, including amenities for dogs, and the lovely garden area. While some guests noted issues with the location's description and nearby caravan park, the majority enjoyed their stay, highlighting the cleanliness and comfort of the property.
The property generally receives high marks for cleanliness, with guests describing it as 'spotless' and 'very clean'. However, a few guests noted areas where dust was present, suggesting room for improvement in thoroughness.
The location is appreciated for its proximity to the beach and scenic walks, but some guests were dissatisfied with the nearby caravan park and the narrow access roads, which impacted their experience.
Guests find the property comfortable, mentioning 'comfy' outdoor seating and 'comfortable beds'. However, some noted the property can be quite warm and sound travels easily in the open plan layout, which could affect comfort for some.
While the property is described as well-equipped and guests are pleased with the facilities, there are mentions of minor maintenance issues such as the smell of drains and the lack of sockets near mirrors, which prevents a score from being given.
The property is commended for thoughtful touches, such as dog amenities and a welcome pack. It's important to note that such gifts, while appreciated, are not guaranteed for every stay.

It was really clean when we arrived. The beds were comfortable and it felt like home from home. We had some beverages on arrival which was a welcomed gift. I havenât stopped talking about the house and we canât wait to re book. Thank you for making this week away enjoyable.

The outside area is great and the open plan living is lovely. However, we found the area not great for teenagers. We had to drive everywhere to find anything fun for them to do and thatâs not always fun as the roads away from the property are not for the faint hearted. Where the roads are so narrow, what you think is a short journey in mileage actually ends up taking double the time. The house is also extremely hot! I honestly donât know how we would have coped if the weather was any warmer. I think an investment in some air conditioning would be a good idea. Going downstairs for the toilet was also a little annoying, but I am 8 months pregnant so probably annoyed me more than it usually would. All in all, we enjoyed our stay and we would definitely recommended it to people who enjoy walking and the beach, it just didnât quite suit our needs at this moment in time :)
