Crabshell Quay is a development of luxury apartments, situated on the banks of the Kingsbridge/Salcombe estuary, just a short walk from Kingsbridge’s shops, boutiques and restaurants. This spacious second floor apartment is furnished to a very high standard, offering a comfortable base for a family of four looking to explore South Devon’s stunning coast and countryside.
Two flights of stairs lead up to the apartment entrance which opens into an open plan kitchen, living and dining area. The beautifully crafted kitchen features granite work surfaces, electric oven and hob, integrated fridge/freezer, dishwasher and microwave, so you can easily cook delicious meals in your well-equipped holiday home. The dining area comfortably sits four, with an additional two seats in the bedrooms. A charming lounge has two double sofas, a coffee table, flatscreen TV, DVD and CD/radio. From the open plan living area, French doors open out to a Juliet balcony with views of the tidal estuary and local wildlife.
A large master bedroom has a delightful King-size bed, perfect for resting tired legs after exploring South Devon, as well as an en suite shower room with estuary views. The second bedroom is a twin room with two single beds. In addition to the en suite shower room there is a charming family bathroom with bath and shower (over), lovely for soaking tired limbs after roaming around this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
To make exploring South Devon that extra bit easier, there is a covered designated parking space available to park your car (no trailer permitted), so you can quickly pop out to neighbouring chocolate box towns and villages.
The bustling market town of Kingsbridge lies at the head of a marine estuary in the attractive South Hams area of South Devon. During the summer season there are river excursions to Salcombe to see the abundant wildlife in this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (aonb), which also forms part of the South Devon Heritage Coast. Visitors can take a walk along the Kingsbridge Quay, to the Crabshell Inn, where you can hire stand up paddleboards, or wander through the narrow alleys off Fore Street. Kingsbridge is a central location to explore picturesque ports, such as Dartmouth and Salcombe, together with sandy beaches at Blackpool Sands and the two sandy beaches at Thurlestone. There are a host of small attractive villages nearby offering interesting pubs, local farm produce shops and pretty rows of cottages, plus further afield the waterfront city of Plymouth is a vibrant centre housing the National Marine Aquarium, historic Barbican Quay and plenty of night life, including theatres, restaurants and bars.
