Guests say

Horizon is a well-loved cottage in Devon, praised for its stunning views, spaciousness, and dog-friendly accommodation. Guests appreciate its proximity to beaches and village centre, as well as its stylish and comfortable furnishings. While some guests have encountered maintenance and cleanliness issues, the property remains a favourite for many repeat visitors.

The property has received mixed feedback on cleanliness. While some guests found it clean and well-maintained, others reported issues with dust, uncleaned areas, and items left by previous guests. The property seems to be cleaned regularly, but there is room for improvement in attention to detail.

The location is highly praised for its lovely views, proximity to beaches, and local amenities. Guests enjoy the walks along the Devon Coast Path and the convenience of nearby dining options. The scenic and accessible location contributes positively to the overall experience.

Most guests find the apartment comfortable, with ample space for relaxation and well-equipped for a pleasant stay. However, some guests mentioned issues with mattresses and seating arrangements, suggesting that while the property is generally comfortable, there is potential for enhancement.

The apartment is generally well-equipped and maintained, with guests appreciating the kitchen appliances and spacious parking. Nonetheless, there are reports of broken items, issues with TV signals, and a need for clearer instructions for heating and hot water, indicating that maintenance could be more consistent.

There is insufficient information to assess thoughtfulness as it pertains to gifts or special touches for guests. While some guests mentioned a lack of welcome gifts, it is not a consistent theme across the reviews, and as such, it cannot be fairly scored.

A short walk to the two beaches. Sofa and beds very comfortable . Beautifully clean with dish washer tablets, washing up liquid supplied . The Village Inn is a very welcoming dog friendly pub with lovely food. We have already booked again for next year.

The only comment is to update the caretakers phone number as there was a power cut and we rang the number to ask where the fuse box was and the previous caretaker answered. He was lovely and told us the answer however!

The bedding in all rooms is really old and shabby ! Quilts , pillows and sheets all need replacing . They are grey and old.Such a shame that care hadn’t been taken to make the bedrooms look more inviting. The rug in the main bedroom is also very tatty . On first use of the dishwasher we found a broken glass which could clearly be seen jammed in the filter . We spent quite a while removing shards of glass and cleaning the filter as it was blocked with food . Another thing that was missed was a welcome pack , even a bottle of wine or a few scones would have made the flat seem more welcoming . We usually stay in a downstairs flat so are used to staying there , to be honest I would pick that one over this next time , even though the views are so much better .
