37 The Salcombe in Devon offers stunning views, a prime location next to a charming town, and a heated pool. Guests appreciate the modern decor, comfortable beds, and the balcony's amenities. While some find the layout and kitchen size challenging, the property's overall presentation and equipment are well-regarded. The separate second bedroom's noise level and lack of additional facilities are noted, yet the main apartment's cleanliness and comfort are praised.
The main apartment is consistently described as clean and well-presented, suggesting a high standard of cleanliness. No negative comments about cleanliness were noted.
The location is frequently praised for its spectacular views and proximity to the town, shops, and eateries. The convenience of a parking space is also appreciated. However, noise from the street is mentioned as a downside.
Guests find the beds comfortable and the apartment generally cosy. However, some guests mention that the sofas are not as supportive, and the noise can affect sleep quality.
The reviews provide mixed feedback on facilities. The kitchen is considered too small for the number of guests, and the toilet's proximity to the kitchen is criticised. The presence of Wi-Fi and a large TV are positives, but issues with obtaining a second key and lack of specific information in the apartment are drawbacks. There is not enough consistent detail to score this category accurately.
While no gifts are explicitly mentioned, the provision of amenities like a heated pool and a well-equipped apartment suggest thoughtfulness. However, the lack of shower gel, shampoo, and a welcome pack, as well as the absence of facilities in the second bedroom, indicate room for improvement. Please note that gifts or welcome packs are not guaranteed and may vary.

The storage area was a god send to put away all fishing rods etc. However, having the toilet entrance off the kitchen seemed a little odd and also having the spare room separate from the main accommodation, made it difficult to use. We would come back to 37 The Salcombe again as the view of the estuary is second to none. It is rather like having a large telly screen with something to watch at all times. Keith

The location is the best in the world! My father & I sailed in the Club Regatta for many years in the 70âs & 80âs & often used The Salcombe as our base. This was the first year we have come to the Town Regatta and the positioning to watch the fireworks was the best we could have asked for. We even joined in the light extravaganza & put LED lights on the balcony. The apartment is perfectly situated & presented with all the accoutrements necessary for a perfect stay. We wanted for nothing as it was so well equipped. 3 small points which could be considered: 1. Recommend double or triple glazing on the Fore Street side (or suggest ear plugs to guests) as the noise from people on the street was not compatible with sleep until after approx 2am 2. Both my father & I found the sofas rather messed with our backs as were low and soft. 3. To cater for 6 (we only had 4) the fridge could do with being a tad bigger as you canât get 2 litres of milk in there without using up half the fridge space. (These are not meant as criticisms as we managed ok but more ideas to make it 10/10) The apartment was truly delightful and we enjoyed our stay immensely. You have wonderful taste! Thank you

As it is completely separate I think it should have additional facilities like a kettle/cups and a TV. The 2nd bedroom is close to the pub and fronting Fore St and consequently very noisy. I think this should be pointed out. As it is very expensive I think the least you could expect is shower gel and shampoo. The majority of good quality self catering properties also include a welcome pack. We arrived late and there was nowhere to get milk/ bottled water etc. Overall the main apartment was clean and comfortable with lovely interior decor and a great size balcony overlooking the estuary with stunning views.
