Guests say

Lanapoule is a well-regarded holiday cottage in Salcombe, praised for its cleanliness, stunning views, and spacious upside-down layout. Guests appreciate the well-equipped facilities, comfortable furnishings, and the garden room. While some concerns were raised about the location of bathrooms and the garden's security for pets, the property generally receives recommendations, especially for those without dogs.

The property is consistently described as clean and tidy, with one review highlighting it as 'spotlessly clean'. This suggests a high standard of cleanliness that guests can expect.

The location offers fabulous views and proximity to local amenities, though the steep hill and distance from the town centre are noted. The quiet road and easy parking are positives, but accessibility may be a concern for some.

Guests find the property comfortable, with plenty of hot water, comfortable bedding, and a warm atmosphere. However, one guest mentioned the property was freezing upon arrival, slightly impacting the overall comfort score.

Facilities are generally well-received, with a well-equipped kitchen and bonus garden room. However, concerns about the location of the washing machine and the third bathroom, as well as the need for maintenance, suggest room for improvement.

While some guests missed a welcome pack and felt that small touches could enhance their experience, there is insufficient information to accurately score thoughtfulness. It should be noted that while such gifts are appreciated, they are not guaranteed.

Felt that the main bathroom was in need of a re-fresh/coat of paint. The location of the washing machine was difficult and a tumble dryer would be good. I would have liked a window opening limiter-lock on the bedroom window in the front bedroom which opens directly onto the street.

Maybe more information about the traffic/road situation in Salcombe and Devon would be helpful. I’m sure your holiday makers come from different parts of the UK and further. Parking is a major concern with so many steps needing negotiation and minimal parking places in the main shopping area. Also, after becoming hemmed in a tiny road with 3 other vehicles we saw a notice saying ‘ignore satnav’! So, perhaps some road maps. Please note these are just observations and hopefully helpful. Many thanks to John for being so welcoming and caring.

It has excellent facilities, especially the garden room. It is also well equipped. We really enjoyed our stay there as did our dog who enjoyed the local walks. The briefing phone call from the owner before our stay was very much appreciated.
