Jot Cottage is a very well presented property divided cleverly over three storeys. Enjoying a quiet residential location in a delightful terrace of cottages, the property is just a five minute walk from Salcombe's boutique shops, award-winning restaurants and picturesque quayside. Batson Creek is also just a short walk away, for quick access to the slipway and car park.
The property has a wonderful sitting room, complete with wood burning stove, plus a fabulously well equipped kitchen/dining room, with access to the rear garden, and a cloakroom. On the first floor are two double bedrooms a family bathroom and separate shower room, whilst on the second floor there is a further twin bedroom. Two of the three bedrooms offer glimpses of Batson Creek!
To the rear of the cottage is a good sized paved terrace with a table, chairs and barbecue. With mature planting, this is a wonderful spot to soak up the South Devon sunshine, whilst dining al fresco, or to enjoy a glass of something chilled after a day on the beach. Parking is not provided at the property but a parking permit (unallocated on a first come basis) is provided for the long stay car park and is only a very short walk away.
For couples or families looking to enjoy all that Salcombe has to offer, this is an exceptionally well located holiday home.
Salcombe is a popular destination for walkers and families looking for a holiday by the sea and was once a major port. There are two pretty beaches within a short distance, North Sands and South Sands and further on is the National Trust property Overbeck’s where you can wander through the subtropical gardens. Why not have a more adventurous day and try out the watersports available on the estuary including surfing, kayaking or a more leisurely boat trip? Whilst staying in Salcombe you must take advantage of the locally sourced seafood which is served in many of the restaurants, pubs, cafés and delicatessens. The southern tip of Devon provides some spectacular scenery and picturesque vistas with a number of sandy beaches, lovely villages with thatched cottages and some fantastic opportunities for walking, including the South West Coast path.
