The Keel Row in Salcombe offers stunning views and is well-equipped, providing a comfortable stay for most guests. While some have noted issues with maintenance and noise, the property's charm, character, and location are frequently praised. The staff at Coast and Country Cottages are commended for their politeness and understanding.
Most guests found the property clean and comfortable, though there were isolated complaints about cleanliness and damp smells, particularly in the hallway and second bedroom.
The property boasts fantastic views and is close to Salcombe's main attractions. However, the steep hill location may be challenging for some guests, and the proximity to town is misleading for those with mobility issues.
Guests generally found the property comfortable, with ample seating and well-equipped living spaces. Some guests, however, reported issues with pillows and noise from other occupants, which affected their comfort.
The property is praised for being well-equipped, but several guests experienced maintenance issues such as problems with hot water, a leaky conservatory, and sewerage smells. These issues were significant enough to impact the overall experience.
There is no mention of gifts or special touches that would indicate thoughtfulness from the hosts, so it is not possible to provide a score in this category.

Had to open doors and windows on arrival for an hour to air. Noise from apartment above. Sacks of smelly rubbish left in and on top of bin outside back door. Contacted local Sykes office for this to be removed, but still there when we left at the end of the week. Surprised and disappointed that no waste separation or recycling bins provided, especially as neighbouring properties had them in abundance. No guest comments book provided. . Positive:- Good location. Well equipped kitchen (excepf for no microwave utensils) Spacious

The apartment was very well equipped and the views just fabulous. However, there were some negative points. It was advertised as being a short stroll from the centre of town which we thought was perfect for us. It was a very short stroll but the walk back was very hard work. My husband and I are in our sixties. Serious gym goers as well as golf and tennis players. Even the teenagers we were with struggled. We would defo not have booked this accommodation if we had known this. We spent an extra £60 on parking whilst we were there. There is a serious issue with soundproofing at the apartment. We could her people talking, moving around, what television programme they were watching. We even heard them in the loo ! ( and worst but best not go into that other than our teenagers found it embarrassing) We also have a holiday home ourself that we rent out, we have always thought that a good nights sleep is paramount and pride ourselves that we have never had any complaints . The pillows at the apartment were just dreadfull, hard and bulky. I did complain and asked for them to be replaced. We got just the one pillow. Not good enough.

It was clean, comfortable, very well equipped with plenty more than the 4 of everything that we have encountered in other properties. There was plenty of seating both inside and out. We loved the charm of the slightly dated family house, with many original features. It had real character. It hasn`t had the holiday home makeover that so many places have had. We could have spent most of the week just looking at the view! There was occasionally a slight smell from the en-suite which we had read about in a previous review. As those people did, we just used the bathroom and informed the office on leaving. The occupants in the flat above need to be advised that sound carries down. Putting simple felt discs on the kitchen chairs would help a great deal to cushion the sound of them as they are moved across the floor.
