Guests have consistently praised Upper Terrapins for its stylish comfort, stunning views, and prime location in Salcombe. The property's balcony is frequently highlighted as a highlight, offering fabulous vistas. The accommodation is described as clean, airy, and well-equipped, making for a perfect holiday stay. The professional service provided by the staff also contributes to a highly satisfactory experience.

While guests have mentioned the property being clean and airy, there are not enough specific comments on cleanliness to provide a detailed score.

The location is highly praised for its stunning views, proximity to the town centre, and the convenience of being close to the water without the need to climb hills, indicating an excellent location.

Guests have described the property as comfortable and stylish, with special mentions of the comfortable accommodation and the lovely upstairs area, suggesting a high level of comfort.

The property is noted for its well-equipped kitchen, useful bathrooms and utility, and the inclusion of a parking space. However, there is limited detail on maintenance to fully assess this aspect.

The mention of fresh flowers indicates a level of thoughtfulness in the service provided. However, as such gestures are not guaranteed for every stay, they should be considered a delightful bonus rather than an expectation.

About this property

Enjoy coastal paradise at our Salcombe hideout, promising panoramic sea views, tasteful interiors, three big gorgeous bedrooms and a sun-trap balcony for that all important evening tipple or frothy morning coffee. Plus, it's dog friendly too!

Upper Terrapins enjoys pride of place in one of the most exclusive locations in the county. The glittering sea views will make this a coastal pad you'll want to return to year after year!

There is nothing quite like a panoramic view over Salcombe; the countryside and creeks, the boats on their moorings or pottering out to sea, yellow sandy beaches, and the pastel coloured houses perched on the hillside. From Upper Terrapins you can see it all!

Situated right in the heart of Salcombe yet set along the very peaceful and quiet Buckley Street, within seconds you can collect fresh croissants and a newspaper in the morning, or walk to the waterfront to jump on your boat.

Accessed through an archway off Church Street, Upper Terrapins has a private parking space for guests to use, making it hassle free and easy for everyone to come and go whenever they please, and explore all the fantastic local beaches and coastal towns and villages. Walking up the stairs, you will be greeted by a light filled large space with two bedrooms (a twin and a kingsize) both of which have the most sensational glittering sea views over the harbour. Imagine having your cup of tea and morning newspapers in bed whilst watching the bobbing sailboats in the morning – just fantastic.

The beautiful kingsize room with built-in wardrobes has jaw-dropping views from the window seat over towards the beaches, up the Southpool creek and over the foreshore moorings and Salcombe Lifeboat.

These two bedrooms share a family bathroom.

The third bright and well-sized bedroom (double) has an en suite with a luxurious rainfall shower

Upstairs the open plan living space is where you’ll find the kitchen, dining area, and large sliding doors onto the balcony. It’s also from where you can enjoy the sensational views. The views here have to be seen to be believed. You can even see the Whitestrand and Normandy pontoons to check if you boat has come in! The kitchen is well-equipped with all the mod-cons such as the all important wine fridge and Nespresso machine. Just a few seconds away you can buy fresh Salcombe crab and beautiful local produce to cook up a storm - the kitchen has absolutely everything you could need. Upper Terrapins is in such a fantastic location, however, that you are only a hop skip and jump away from the best Salcombe pubs, restaurants and seafood spots!

One dog is very welcome at Upper Terrapins. Salcombe is such a dog friendly town, your furry friend will have a blast! There are beautiful coastal path walks, too many dog friendly beaches to count, even the ferries are dog friendly!

We recommend bringing your woofer's dog bed for snoozing after a long day running the beach. A fee of £45 will be added to the booking should you wish to bring a pet.

Please, no smoking inside of the property.

If you are a smaller party, please take a look at our reduced occupancy version of Upper Terrapins - Sea Salt which is the same property but without use of the double room with en suite.
