About this property

11 Robinsons Row is located in the heart of Salcombe, just off Fore Street, offering immediate access to the town’s famous waterfront, cafes and restaurants. The East Portlemouth passenger ferry (within a 3-4 minute walk) runs to and from the town throughout the year to the sandy beaches on the opposite side of the town’s stunning harbour.

At ground floor level is a well-equipped kitchen with a small breakfast table seating for up to four guests, with stairs leading to two bedrooms and a bathroom on the first floor. A cosy sitting and dining room overlooks the garden and benefits from a sofa and two armchairs, plus a large dining table. Ideal for a multigenerational group, a separate lounge has two sofas, armchairs, open fireplace, TV and DVD player. Double doors lead out on to the enclosed rear garden. A separate utility room providing a washing machine and tumble dryer, and a shower room.

Accommodating eight, with two bedrooms in each wing, the property offers a large master bedroom with a King-size bed. The adjacent twin room has two single beds. A further double (above the lounge) also has a King-size bed. A twin room (also on this level) has two single beds. The property benefits from two further bathrooms, a family bathroom with bath and rain head shower (over). A smaller bathroom off the lounge has a bath with shower over.

There is a very good-sized, mature area of garden to both the side and rear of cottage, offering beautiful views of the estuary. There are two sets of garden furniture, each with a table and four chairs.

Salcombe is a popular destination for watersports enthusiasts, walkers and families looking for a holiday by the sea. There are several pretty beaches within a short distance, including North Sands and South Sands, plus the coves East Portlemouth on the opposite side of the estuary, just a short passenger ferry ride away. Also on your doorstep is the National Trust property Overbeck’s where you can wander through the subtropical gardens. Why not have a more adventurous day and try out the watersports available on the estuary including surfing, coasteering, kayaking or a more leisurely boat trip? Whilst staying in Salcombe, take advantage of the locally sourced seafood which is served in many of the restaurants, pubs, cafés and delicatessens. The southern tip of Devon provides some spectacular scenery and picturesque vistas with a number of sandy beaches, lovely villages with thatched cottages and some fantastic opportunities for walking on the South West Coast path.

No one contacted me to make any arrangement for the repair. The fault was then mended while I was out. Someone had entered the cottage to do this, without my permission and without contacting me. This is unacceptable. and was an intrusion of the space I had rented . I feel very uncomfortable about it.
