Guests say

Butterdon Barn in Devon is consistently praised for its peaceful and stunning location, cleanliness, and comfort. Guests appreciate the thoughtful touches from hosts Sarah and Barry, including provisions and a secure garden for pets. The lack of Wi-Fi is noted, but the property's charm and the hot tub are highlights for many. The barn's spaciousness and the surrounding wildlife add to a relaxing and enjoyable stay.

Guests frequently mention the property's cleanliness, describing it as immaculate and well-maintained. The attention to detail in keeping the barn clean is evident and contributes to the overall positive experience.

The barn's location is highly praised for its tranquility, beautiful countryside, and proximity to Dartmoor National Park. The remote setting is appreciated by guests seeking a peaceful retreat, although the narrow access lanes are noted as challenging.

Comfort is a standout feature, with guests finding the barn spacious, well-equipped, and cosy. The presence of a wood burner and en-suite bathrooms in each bedroom adds to the comfort level, making it a relaxing place to stay.

The barn is well-equipped with a hot tub, secure garden, and a wood burner, which are frequently mentioned and appreciated by guests. However, the lack of Wi-Fi and limited mobile reception is a minor inconvenience for some, affecting the score slightly.

The hosts' thoughtfulness is evident through the provision of welcome treats like homemade jam, shortbread, and fresh eggs. While these gifts are greatly appreciated by guests, it is politely noted that such personal touches, though common, are not guaranteed with every stay.
