The Wing at Warham is nestled within the Torridge valley near to village of Beaford. Set in secluded landscaped grounds with mature trees and spectacular spring flowering, Rhododendrons, Camelias and Magnolias. The apple orchard has a wilding area where wild Orchids appear among the wildflowers. The private two mile stretch of the river Torridge offers guests total tranquillity for walking, picnicking or quietly observing the abundance of wildlife from otters to kingfishers, red deer, owls and bats. The river can be reached within a 5-minute walk of the accommodation. There are no public footpaths, roads, or rights of way, therefore it is exclusive to you as guests of Little Warham. Tucked away on the outskirts of the idyllic village of Beaford near Dolton in Devon, is this fantastic semi-detached cottage, The Wing. Enjoying a superb location set within the rolling Devon countryside in the Torridge Valley, The Wing is a wonderful choice for a group or family of eight seeking their next luxury getaway. The property benefits from five off-road parking spaces, and a beautiful rear garden with furniture, fire pit and barbecue, ideal for alfresco dining, followed by a leisurely walk through the 4-acre natural grounds with woodland and fly fishing. On the ground floor, you will find a fully-equipped kitchen for conjuring up your best dishes, ready to savour at the dining table for eight as you recount the days adventures, before kicking-back and relaxing on the plush sofa in front of the Smart TV, playing a game on the games console, or listening to your favourite tunes on the Bluetooth speaker, as the woodburning stove crackles nearby. Completing the ground floor is a well-presented king-size bedroom with access to a handy cloakroom. Head upstairs, where you can freshen up with your choice of bath or shower in the beautiful bathroom, before retiring to one of three tastefully decorated bedrooms, a king-size with TV and en-suite shower room, a double and a single with sofa bed. Your local amenities can be found in nearby Dolton, where you can treat your loved ones to a hearty meal at The Rams Head Inn or The Royal Oak. Dine out at The Globe Inn, an award-winning eatery and ranked as CAMRA North Devon Pub of the year 2020 and 2022, which can be accessed via a short countryside walk, pick up fresh ingredients from Neals Traditional Butchers, or essentials from the convenience store. For beach days, discover Westward Ho, well-positioned within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in North Devon, or head further towards Saunton, Wollacombe and Croyde, all a short journey away, offering picturesque landscapes and ideal environments for surfing. Nearby villages and towns recommended to add to your itinerary include Appledore, Bideford, perfect for shopping trips and boat tours across to Lundy Island in the Bristol Channel, and Lynton and Lynmouth, both pretty coastal villages, ideal for countryside hikes. Dolton is a quaint community nestled in the green hills of Devon, with a general store, post office, butcher, and two excellent pubs, one of which serves up gourmet fare. The neighbourhood is characterised by winding roads, tall hedges, and a slower tempo of life. Dartmoor's open tors are a popular destination for hikers and wildlife enthusiasts, while the hills of Exmoor and the surfing beaches are only 40 minutes away by vehicle. In addition to the Cathedral City of Exeter's Roman city walls, retail mall, theatres, and restaurants, historic Torrington, home of RHS Rosemoor and an arts centre, is only 9 miles away.
