The house is lovely and we would love to return in the future. The views are incredible and the house is well equipped. The village the house is located in is remote and had plenty of walks. There is a local shop and pub which were both very nice. The roads were very direct when visiting places such as Bude which is ideal. I would definitely recommend and give the house and location five stars.

I always think that reviews are really useful when booking holidays as it gives personal insight into someones stay. The cottage was fantastic, spotless and really well stocked (nice to stay somewhere which has the essentials waiting for you), with the added bonus of a welcome pack of some sweet treats. The cottage is really comfortable and has everything you need. We made use of the highchair and stair gate during our visit, as well as multiple uses of the washing machine and tumble dryer thanks to holidaying in Devon in October with children. I recommend the cottage to anyone looking for a central location in Devon, its 30 minutes to Bude and Launceston and the A30 are in easy reach if wanting to travel further afield. I would happily stay here again.

Can only echo what others have said; the cottage is a lovely place to stay, clean, spacious and very comfortable. Every effort has been made for guests from the overall decor, welcome pack and generous equipment to provisions for children. We felt very much at home straight away. We were blessed with unexpectedly good weather during our week, giving us lots of opportunity to enjoy the garden and the lovely peaceful surroundings. Went into Ashwater a number of times and found the locals friendly and helpful. We left with very pleasant memories and would definitely return.
