About this property

A stunning Grade II* listed barn conversion on a peaceful conservation farm in North West Devon. Boasting a combination of character and contemporary, The Threshing Barn has been beautifully presented over one floor, appealing to couples looking to escape to Devon. After parking up in the off-road parking area, step into the open-plan living space and you’ll immediately sense the character, with vaulted ceilings and beams with woodburning stove, creating a homely environment for unwinding. The kitchen includes a large range of storage units, which are made from English Oak, with granite worktops, a butler's sink, an Electrolux double electric oven with induction hob, and a Bosch dishwasher and fridge with freezer compartment. For your laundry needs, locate the boot room houses in an ancient cart shed just a short distance away, where you will find the washing machine and space for bicycles, muddy boots and wet jackets. Discover the luxurious bathroom, finished with a mosaic tiled floor, bath, double basin and shower, before settling down in the bedroom for your rest, boasting a super-king-size bed which can be arranged as a twin on request. Outside, The Threshing Barn has its own private paved patio with table and chairs, sun-chairs and a Weber gas barbecue, perfect for a grilled feast in the summer, whilst the 48-acre farm can be explored and has offers views over towards Dartmoor; plus there's a host of animals to meet! The Threshing Barn is a stunning retreat for two, any time of the year. Note: This property can be booked with Ref. 942407, The Milking Parlour, together they sleep six guests.

A tiny settlement in the Ruby Country region of rural Devon, surrounded by stunning landscape (so named after the local Ruby Red Devon cattle). The unspoiled countryside of Devon is home to various pathways for cyclists and walkers. About 7 miles from the border of the Dartmoor National Park is the historic tiny market town of Hatherleigh, where walkers and bikers may access the Tarka Trail. About a 20-minute drive lies Okehampton, a major market town with a variety of stores and supermarkets. The stunning RHS Rosemoor gardens at Great Torrington, National Trust properties like Lydford Gorge, Castle Drogo, Cotehele, Buckland Abbey, and The Finch Foundry, as well as miles of breathtaking scenery, are all nearby. Bude's beautiful surfing and sandy beaches, as well as the larger attractions of the North Cornwall coast, such as Boscastle, Tintagel, Port Isaac, and Morwenstow, are also easily accessible. Due to its central location, Highampton is a great starting point for exploring this pristine region of Devon and North Cornwall.
