There were fresh scones with clotted cream and jam when we arrived which were delicious. The views along the field and lake were just stunning and access to the camera traps to watch the wildlife up close was fantastic too! Our dog loved it too with so many lovely lanes to walk down and woodland treks to explore, it was amazing for all of us. The place is very well appointed and maintained and we had the best time there and visiting the surrounding area. We did manage to cook some simple meals on the 2 ring hob but there is also a very lovely pub up the lane. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and Mike was on hand if we needed anything. We would love to come back again in the spring to watch nature come back to life. Lovely place and would certainly recommend:-)

It is such a comfortable, cozy little retreat. The owners kindly let you walk around the lake (which can be viewed from the lodge). A perect place to explore west Devon from, but to be honest you would love staying local so much you would not need to go far to experience the beautiful surrounding countryside. We have already booked for next year. Our cocker loved all the new walks and smells. Loads of wildlife as well.

It was peaceful and quiet. We enjoyed watching the wildlife cctv and the videos sent to us each morning by Mike. Walking the dog around the property and the sheep, goats and donkeys were a joy. The lodge was everything the listing said it was. Mike was very friendly and helpful. We will definitely be returning next year. If you want a place to relax and chill this is the place to come.
