Set in an isolated, rural location surrounded by green rolling hills, and close to the wild moors, this listed former longhouse enjoys superb views of surrounding countryside, ample off-road parking, and a fabulous, rustic interior completed with exposed wooden beams and brickwork, providing an ideal base for a family of eight or group of sharing friends who are seeking a relaxing, fuss-free escape within the magnificent Dartmoor National Park. Approach your new dwelling via private driveway, where a tranquil pond greets you as you soak in your peaceful new setting. Step inside and discover an array of tastefully-presented living spaces, starting with a fully-equipped kitchen/diner, featuring a large dining table seating eight, an impressive AGA range cooker, as well as an electric oven and hob, perfect for feeding big groups. When it’s time to relax, head to the inviting sitting room complete with plush sofas, a sleek Smart TV and exposed beams, perfect for enjoying a movie night or choose a book from the provided selection. When sleep finally calls, head upstairs to refresh in one of four sumptuous bedrooms, with three king-size bedrooms and a super-king with an option of converting into two twin beds. A picturesque town at the northern point of Dartmoor National Park in Devon. Chagford, one of the five Stannary towns of Dartmoor, is small in size but is packed with amenities and things to do. There is a wide range of shops as well as four pubs. Chagford also has more active facilities such as public tennis court and a seasonal, open-air swimming pool to enjoy at your leisure. It is a town of great history, home to the Three Crowns Hotel which dates back to the 1200's. Chagford is well known for its culture, hosting film, literary and music festivals in the town as well as an annual running race, known as Two Hills Race. Just over 21 miles away is the bustling, beautiful city of Exeter for a different kind of break, definitely worth a visit. The charming, attractive town of Okehampton sits just 12 miles away.

    The garden was well maintained and our dogs loved playing there. we could also use their fields over the road next to the off road secure private parking. The property was well resourced throughout and it was lovely and clean on our arrival. We will definately be back again at some point as it was a great location for exploring Devon as well Cornwall.
