The cottage is well-received for its cleanliness, comfort, and friendly atmosphere, making it a recommended stay for both pet owners and those without pets.

The property is described as comfortable and a 'home from home', with a comfy big bed and a good area to relax. One review mentioned difficulty with the living room being upstairs, which could affect comfort for some guests with pets.
While the property is generally well-equipped, there are mixed comments about the facilities. The mention of an 'ancient' washing machine and the need for better outdoor lighting suggests some areas for improvement. Due to the lack of consistent reviews on this aspect, a definitive score cannot be provided.
The hosts are frequently described as friendly, generous, and thoughtful, with special mention of a welcome pack. However, it should be noted that such gifts, while appreciated, may not be guaranteed for every stay.

The only reason I have not given it a 5-star rating is that I found the bedding and towels smelled stale. Luckily my daughter lived close by and she supplied fresh bedding etc. I would add a health and safety point: in the dark I found that there are trip hazards nearby the door, and I fell badly on my final morning when leaving. Some lighting perhaps needed or at least a torch for tenants' use. Some clarity may also be needed for customers about whether a supply of logs and kindling comes with the tenancy.
