Chilvery Farm Cottage is a well-loved and cosy property, praised for its peaceful location, stunning views, and wildlife. Guests appreciate the well-equipped kitchen, snug woodburner, and the delightful conservatory. The private lake walk is a highlight, offering tranquillity and natural beauty. While some minor issues are noted, the overall sentiment is highly positive, with many guests eager to return.
The cottage is generally regarded as clean and tidy, with specific praise for its condition post-lockdown. However, a few guests mentioned cobwebs and mouse droppings, suggesting room for improvement in cleaning detail.
The location is highly valued for its privacy, quietness, and proximity to beautiful walks and Dartmoor. The occasional mention of passing vehicles at night slightly detracts from the otherwise serene setting.
The cottage's comfort is well-received, with its warm atmosphere and spacious living areas. Some guests found the beds less comfortable, which affects the overall comfort score.
Facilities are generally praised, especially the kitchen and conservatory. Maintenance issues like cobwebs and a non-functioning Chromecast are noted, indicating some areas need attention.
While guests have mentioned welcome gifts such as cake and flowers, there are not enough reviews referencing these to guarantee their provision. Therefore, the score is set to null.

The cottage was so cosy and lovely and exactly what we needed as a family of 5. The bird feeder gave the children such lovely birds to watch and we cannot wait to plan our next stay.
