Thorny Tallet in Devon is a well-received cottage, praised for its peacefulness, cleanliness, and dog-friendly garden. Guests appreciate the comfortable furnishings, the attentive owners, and the property's remote charm. While some minor issues are noted, the overall sentiment is positive, with many looking forward to returning.
The cottage receives high marks for cleanliness, with multiple reviews noting it as 'extremely clean'. Only one mention of dampness in a bedroom slightly detracts from an otherwise pristine reputation.
The location is generally appreciated for its quietness and proximity to local attractions and walks. However, some guests were disappointed with the lack of seclusion due to nearby properties and the challenging access via farm tracks.
Comfort is consistently highlighted, with guests finding the beds comfortable and the living spaces cosy, especially with the log burner. A few mentions of the property being cold or lacking heating in certain areas slightly affect the score.
Facilities are well-regarded, with the property being described as well-equipped. Some guests noted issues with maintenance, such as the need for sharper knives and a professional clean for a smoky-smelling sofa, which suggests room for improvement.
While the reviews reflect positively on the owners' attentiveness and the property's overall setup, there is no specific mention of gifts or extra thoughtful touches that would warrant a score in this category.

Everything you need is provided. Could do with a few lamps in the main room as the spot lights are many and very bright. Overall a very relaxing break. The enclosed garden was great for the dogs. The owner was helpful. Beautiful part of our country.

Amazing walks and scenery all close to the cottage. Some nice local pubs that do lovely food. Something different to do everyday all within a short drive. Will definitely use this cottage again.
