Offering spacious, well-appointed living space and spectacular views, in a wild flower meadow in rolling Dorset countryside, Gascon is one of three wonderful eco safari tents, each named after a fine breed of pig.

Gascon is perfectly designed to allow you to enjoy the warm summer months. It prides itself on being child, dog and eco friendly! Its extensive decking provides a sociable space where you can soak up the sun, or perhaps watch the sun go down with some nibbles and – with Gascon’s provenance - a glass of Provencal rosé? The canvas can be opened up to provide seamless access to the deck and views to the rolling Blackmore Vale. For the chillier evenings, why not snuggle up inside with a mug of hot chocolate on one of the welcoming sofas? The wood burning stove will keep you toasty while you relax, or perhaps get competitive with a board game!

The French influences continue throughout Gascon and are reflected in the beautiful furnishings and space. The tent has three bedrooms – a comfy king-size bedroom with storage space, a twin room and a cosy cabin bedroom with a double bed. The bathroom with a hot shower and separate WC at the back of Gascon means you don’t have to get chilly toes in the middle of the night – no midnight yomps across a field here!

The bespoke fitted kitchen, built with care by a local craftsman, has everything you need to rustle up a gourmet feast using some of the fabulous local produce. The wood-fired oven is supplemented by a gas hob and there’s even a fridge-freezer so you can keep the little adventurers happy with lots of ice cream. The light and airy living area is the perfect place to relax, and provides comfortable seating for the whole family, with views to die for.

There is hot water throughout and electric lighting in the living space and bathroom. The bedrooms are lit by battery powered lanterns and there are USB ports for those that need to charge a phone.

Gascon prides itself on being environmentally friendly and the site has been a finalist for awards such as The Dorset Environmental Award and BV Dairy Investing in Dorset Award. There is a flower farm, an Italian inspired cafe and shop also to enjoy at the farm.

For a larger group, Gascon can be booked with Murciano and Mukota.

Beautiful setting and so tranquil This is a beautiful setting for a break away in the countryside. A really novel place to stay that's a bit different but has everything you need. It does help when the sun shines so you can enjoy the deck, the views and sunsets. Very helpful owners and lovely to be able to walk around their farm, especially to visit the two black pigs!
