The private ground floor entrance leads up to the first floor where you will find a well-equipped kitchen where you can prepare meals for your loved ones and then enjoy the meal at the extendable table in the dining room which can seat six. After dinner, why not then enjoy a bottle of wine out on the rear terrace and enjoy the last of the day’s rays? As the evening cools gather in the sitting room for a family film night watching the Smart TV. Other attractions include the fantastic 19th-century Swanage Pier, the Swanage Amphitheatre and the popular Isle of Purbeck Golf Club. Be sure to hop aboard the iconic Swanage Railway, where you can relax on a vintage steam train and soak up the exceptional views on offer for 6-miles. Wildlife and outdoor enthusiasts will not want to miss the opportunity to visit the nearby Durlston Country Park and National Nature Reserve, where you can enjoy clifftop strolls, spotting the local wildlife, and a visitor centre housed within the Victorian Castle. Situated at the eastern end of Dorset's famous Jurassic Coast on the celebrated Isle of Purbeck, Swanage is perhaps best known for its wonderful, gently sloping golden sands. There are many shops, pubs and restaurants in the small town, some of which specialise in locally caught seafood, as well as a jazz festival that takes place in July. Often used as the starting point for divers, the charming Victorian wooden pier is a great place to stroll or try fishing while taking in the sights of the city below. To get to Corfe Castle, tourists take a 6-mile journey on the historic Swanage Railway, which has its terminus in the town and offers regular nostalgic steam engine trips. Coastal walks, dolphin sightings, and wildlife viewing are just some of the highlights at the nearby Durlston Country Park. There are also comfortable viewing platforms and a well-stocked cafe for refuelling after all that exercise and fresh air. Taking the regular chain ferry across Poole Harbour's mouth to Sandbanks from Studland (a short drive away) and the surrounding heathland will take you to one of the best beaches in the country.
