Nestled paces away from the harbour and tranquil golden sands in West Bay, Dorset, is 24 Heron Court. This wonderful, first-floor, studio-style apartment benefits from a fantastic location near the sea and an array of nearby local amenities, permit parking, which is a rarity in this coastal town, and a spacious interior with a sofa bed, perfect for couples seeking a romantic getaway or small families looking for some seaside fun. Climb the stairs and cross the threshold and head straight into the fully-equipped separate kitchen where you can pamper your partner with a delicious meal while they unwind in front of the TV on the plush sofa. The living/dining space and double bed can be found in a studio-style sitting area, alongside a sofa bed sleeping two additional guests, and here you can dine together at the intimate table before stepping outside to the private walkway where there is a sitting area, watch as the sun sets behind the sea, and be sure to toast your getaway in this truly memorable setting! When stars fill the sky, wash off the day in the sleek shower room before relaxing off to sleep in the comfy double bed, situated in the studio-style living space. Tear yourself away from this idyllic setting to stock up on essentials at the local store or delight in date night at pubs or restaurants, like the Boathouse or the stylish Station Kitchen which both serve delicious food. On sunny days head down to Bridport Beach, where you can soak up the sun, or try something more thrilling by taking to water on paddles boards or boats, the perfect way to admire breath-taking views across the azure sea. Don't miss the wealth of history lining the Jurassic Coast; start at the West Bay Discovery Centre before following the impressive South West Coast path to find Charmouth, home to a heritage centre showcasing fossils. Lyme Regis lies a little further down the coast and boasts an insightful museum and Dinosaurland Fossil Museum, which displays over 9000 fossils. There is also Lyme Regis Fossil Beach, where you can immerse yourself in the past by walking over years of evolutionary progression; a spectacular and unique opportunity! All this and more awaits at 24 Heron Court.
West Bay is located at the western end of the dramatic pebbly Chesil Beach, close to the glorious sandstone cliffs of Golden Cap. It is known as "The Gateway to the Dorset Jurassic Coast" and rose to prominence thanks to the television series Broadchurch. Wonderful for a family holiday, this seaside town provides scenic walks along the South West Coast Path, as well as plenty of chances to go sea fishing, crabbing, boating, and golfing. Check out Thomas Hardy's and TE Lawrence's residences, the Tank Museum in Bovington, and the Naval Air Museum in Yeovil. Bridport, the lively market town featured on River Cottage, is only 1.5 miles away. Numerous family-friendly activities are available in the region. Charmouth, a popular destination for fossil hunters; Lyme Regis, a picturesque seaside resort; and the River Cottage HQ in the vicinity of Axminster are all within easy driving distance to the West. Abbotsbury's beautiful subtropical gardens and swannery, as well as the beautiful Weymouth beach, are located to the east. You can't ask for a better starting point for a memorable holiday with the family than this spectacular spot.

Well equipped first floor studio apartment. However to improve the rating the mould, ants, and replacing the shower head could be addressed

Lots of little extras in the cupboards but i missed out on the welcome pack mentioned ( there was milk) but I assume that was because I booked last minute. My only disappointment was the âbalconyâ. A table & chairs at the end of the entrance walkway is not how I would describe a balcony. As it was winter it was okay but I would think twice if it was summer. Would i come again yes!
