This inviting shepherd’s hut sits in a country setting in the village of Maiden Newton, near Dorchester, Dorset. Acres Meadow can sleep fours guests, perfect for a family looking to explore this idyllic region of Dorset. Two shepherd's huts provide sleeping and bathroom facilities set in it's own private meadow with picturesque rural vistas. Internally, the first shepherd’s hut features a double bed, wood burning stove, plus bunk bed and small kitchenette facilities. The second hut features large walk in shower, toilet, wash basin and wood burning stove. Enjoy picnics from on the outdoor bench, warmed by the fire pit, taking a moment to appreciate the peaceful countryside setting. Nestled in the beautiful Frome Valley, the surrounding region is filled with stunning walks and trails, and on your return stop off at a local pub for some a pint and some grub. There are also a good selection of shops including a well-stocked local village store for grabbing the essentials, along with a convenient train station providing access to Weymouth, Yeovil and Bath. Head to the excitement of Dorchester, where you can wander the traditional high street and pop in and out of well-established retailers and coffee shops or explore the local attractions such as the Dorset Museum to view the numerous exhibits found locally. When you fancy a beach day, head to expanses of Chesil Beach, regarded as one of the most remarkable beaches in the country. The Jurassic coast road will provide you with some fantastic views. Head further afield and explore Abbotsbury Subtropical Gardens or Abbotsbury Swannery. Take a drive to explore the delights of Lyme Regis or West Bay, the home of Broadchurch. Maiden Newton is a town-sized village in the county of Dorset and surrounded by an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Within the village you'll find shops, a pub and a restaurant. Maiden Newton is also home to the Church of St. Mary, which is one of the most interesting buildings in the village. The church door is thought to be the oldest wooden church door in England. For fine beaches, fossils and cliff walks, look no further than the South Dorset Heritage Coast where you'll also find the towns of Lyme Regis, with its famous Cobb, Charmouth, with its sandy beach, or West Bay, where you can fish off the pier.

    If I could leave you any feedback, it would be perhaps a slightly bigger fridge, and maybe some shelving and hooks to utilise space but it was superb and cannot fault it. Would highly recommend to others.

    I am waiting for a call back re my complaints the owner of this property is helpful Sykes on the other hand are not replying to my complaints and sending me messaged via a system i can not access i have repeatedly asked for somone to call me and inform me as to the action Sykes will be taking please call as a matter of urgency
