However, there were a few items which made our stay much less enjoyable than previously. The dishwasher was broken and despite reporting this and a maintenance visit., it was not fixed during our stay or presumably for the following guests. Also, we had not been notified that below us was a noisy building site with drilling and sanding throughout the day from 730am, which rather ruined our stay. Also the front door was dead locked whilst we were inside which was a serious risk to life safety in the event of a fire.

It was dark and very outdated. Whoever owns the building needs to think about making this a more bright & welcoming space. The flat itself was cosy and warm, it is clearly not just used as a holiday home for clients but also by the owners. The beds were comfortable and yes it was a little noisy being right on the high street and early morning deliveries might certainly be an issue in the summer when windows are open. Generally it wasn't an issue and we loved the local amenities being so close. Overall the flat could do with some TLC to the decoration and the windows need to be maintained/double-glazed to make it quieter and feel more modern. Overall we enjoyed our stay.
