Guests say

Guests have praised the apartment for its quietness, spaciousness, and well-equipped kitchen. The secure parking and lovely sea views are frequently mentioned, alongside the property's proximity to local amenities. Some guests noted the small shower cubicle and minor maintenance issues, but these did not detract significantly from the overall positive experience.

The apartment is generally found to be very clean, with a few isolated comments about specific areas needing attention, such as windows and patio doors. The consistent mention of cleanliness suggests a high standard is maintained.

The location is highly praised for its sea views, proximity to the town centre, and secure parking. The hill's steepness is noted, but the convenience of the location outweighs this for most guests.

The apartment's furniture and beds are described as comfortable, with spacious bedrooms. However, the small shower cubicle and the height of the wash basin were points of discomfort for some guests.

Facilities are generally well-regarded, especially the well-equipped kitchen and secure parking. Some guests suggested improvements such as a larger shower, better window cleanliness, and minor maintenance on items like taps and toasters.

While guests appreciated the secure parking and views, there is insufficient information to assess the thoughtfulness category fully. The mention of a welcome packet of biscuits, which did not meet some guests' expectations, suggests that while some effort is made, it may not be consistent or as generous as anticipated.

We love Lyme Regis. However, Lyme Bay Holidays have now been cobbled up by the Sykes Group, who are greedy in the extreme and difficult to deal with. (they are the only holiday company who refused guests. refunds during Covid). They do not answer the phone, and to get to speak to a human being, eventually, we had two 30 minute waits, and our request was not granted. (we knew the property was vacant the night before, and we were asking if we could arrive at 3.00 instead of 4 - the answer was 'NO'). Sykes are unnecessarily rigid in their 'rules' and won't budge under any circumstances. We were left a packet of biscuits, but no milk, which is unheard of these days (and we have been using self catering facilities for many many years!). We did see proper 'Holiday Hampers' being delivered to the other flats though?? Such a shame that Sykes is taking over most letting places these days, but are the worst company to deal with.

Key collection from Lyme Bay holidays is very easy and just next door. Great to have parking on site. Highly recommended.

It is an absolutely beautiful flat with a lovely view over the rooftops to the sea and Golden Cap. And quite rare in Lyme Regis to find a property with secure parking. Can you sense there is a "but"! That is, as I have included in previous reviews, the shower cubicle is the tiniest I have ever seen and using it is made more challenging because the shower head is at a fixed level and there is nowhere at all to put your soap or shampoo. The general cleanliness is ok but the flat could do with a deep clean, including the windows. It is looking generally a litle bit "tired", including the cooking utensils and the china had lots of chips. These comments are intended to be constructive as none of this will stop us coming again if we can, we still had a lovely time despite the weather! And Lyme Bay Holidays were efficient as they always have been.
