9 Farnham House in Lyme Regis is a well-loved cottage praised for its stunning views, proximity to the beach and town, and dog-friendly amenities. Guests appreciate the property's spacious living areas and the thoughtful welcome packs. While some concerns about maintenance and comfort are noted, the location and charm of the cottage often outweigh these points.
The property generally receives positive remarks for cleanliness, with spotless bedding and bathrooms. However, some guests noted areas that could benefit from more thorough cleaning, such as behind furniture.
The cottage's location is highly praised for its beautiful views over the bay, close proximity to the town and beach, and the peacefulness it offers, making it an ideal spot for a relaxing holiday.
Guests find the beds and pillows comfortable, and the living spaces are appreciated for their cosiness. However, some guests mention that the furniture is low and the bedrooms and bathrooms are smaller than expected, affecting the overall comfort.
The property is equipped with necessary facilities and a well-stocked kitchen, but several reviews point out issues with maintenance, such as problematic doors and a lack of hanging space for clothes, suggesting room for improvement.
Many guests express gratitude for the welcome packs provided, which include local treats and essentials. While these packs are well-received, it is important to note that such gifts are a kind gesture and may not be guaranteed for every stay.

We loved the location and the view - it was stunning- a short walk into town and down to the harbour. We loved the beds and the pillows (the duvets could have been bigger for the beds) but we all slept well. We have two teenagers and one slept on the bed ledge and was comfortable. The facilities were lovely and we loved the comfy sofas for resting after lots of walks. (We could have done with a few more drinking glasses.) The location is lovely we walked, with our very excited dog, to Monmouth Beach and walked along the ammonite pavement at low tide - which was amazing. We also took a short drive to Charmouth beach and collected sea glass.

I appreciated the welcome pack and that i had a request to the owner who kindly met my needs. My only criticism is the Lyme bay cleaners are what I call surface cleaners they donât clean behind things or move furinture. The bedding was spotless and the bathrooms . The garden needs attention the lawn wasnât cut. However I loved my stay and would love to stay again and was hoping to in September but alas no availabilityâ
