Jurassic Sea View is a spacious and comfortable cottage in Lyme Regis, Dorset, with stunning views and a welcoming atmosphere. Guests appreciate the property's location, ample space, and the thoughtful touch of a welcome pack. While the steep access and need for modernisation are noted, the charm and facilities of the property, including a games room and garden, make for a delightful stay.
The property generally maintains good cleanliness, though some guests noted areas for improvement such as dust on fake flowers and cobwebs. The overall impression remains positive, but attention to detail could enhance the experience.
The location is highly praised for its lovely views and proximity to Lyme Regis. The walk into town is appreciated, despite the steep return journey. The convenience of the location contributes significantly to the enjoyment of the stay.
The property offers a comfortable environment with plenty of space and amenities. However, some guests mentioned issues with hard mattresses and overgrown outdoor areas, suggesting room for improvement in comfort.
The house is well-equipped with a games room and toys, but comments about dated decor, worn furnishings, and the need for better recycling facilities indicate that some aspects of the facilities and maintenance could be updated.
Guests felt welcomed by the inclusion of a welcome pack, which added a thoughtful touch to their arrival. However, as gifts are not guaranteed for every stay, this aspect should be considered a pleasant bonus rather than an expectation.

The living accommodation here was great and practical for our multi generational situation including 2 toddlers and one person with a relatively recent unexpected hip replacement. (If weâd known when I booked that I would have had a fall we wouldnât have chosen somewhere with so many steps!). All the family loved Lyme Regis and the walk into the town down the hill and along the riverside. The Town Mill and the micro brewery were a great find as was the town with the level walk along the the promenade and the walk along the cob The provision of stair gates for the top and bottom of the stairs would be a welcome addition to the facilities We decided not to bring our dog with us in the end which we decided was a good move as although only a cockatoo she enjoys a good run around in the garden
