Avocet is a well-regarded apartment in Lyme Regis, Dorset, praised for its excellent location, cleanliness, and thoughtful touches. Guests appreciate the proximity to local attractions, the pleasant styling, and the welcome pack. Some concerns were raised about noise and minor maintenance issues, but overall, guests enjoyed their stay and would return.
The apartment generally receives high marks for cleanliness, with guests finding it clean and fresh upon arrival. However, there were isolated comments about unclean crockery and an old sweet wrapper found under the bed, suggesting room for improvement.
The location is highly praised for being close to the beach, restaurants, and local walks. Guests love the convenience and the views from the terrace, although parking can be challenging and costly.
The apartment is described as comfortable and well-furnished, with a particularly comfortable bed mentioned. However, some guests noted noise from nearby pubs and floorboards, and a few suggested the mattress could be replaced for improved comfort.
Facilities are generally well-received, with a well-equipped kitchen and good bathroom. However, there were issues with TV internet, shower slipperiness, and a tricky front door lock. Some guests also suggested additional kitchen shelving and outdoor furniture.
Guests frequently mention and appreciate the welcome pack, indicating thoughtfulness. However, as gifts can vary and are not guaranteed, guests should consider this a delightful bonus rather than an expectation.
