Maries Cottage in Lyme Regis is highly praised for its cleanliness, stunning location with sea views, and overall comfort. Guests appreciate the well-equipped facilities and the thoughtful touches, including welcome packs. Some concerns were raised about driveway access and nearby construction noise, but these were generally seen as minor compared to the many positives.
Guests consistently note the property as spotlessly clean, with only a minor comment about sticky worktops. The high standard of cleanliness contributes to the overall positive experience.
The property's location is celebrated for its proximity to the town, beach, and coastal paths, offering beautiful views. Some guests mentioned a steep climb back from town, but this does not detract significantly from the location's appeal.
The cottage is described as clean and comfortable, with a spacious layout and cosy features like a gas log fire. Some guests found the beds firm, but overall, the property provides a comfortable stay.
Facilities are generally well-regarded, with a well-equipped kitchen and good condition appliances. Minor maintenance issues like a loose kitchen door hinge and a sticky worktop were mentioned, as well as a suggestion for a larger TV.
Guests frequently mention the thoughtful welcome packs, which add to the charm of the cottage. While these gifts are warmly received, it's important to note that such amenities, while appreciated, are subject to change and not guaranteed.

It's in a great location and the views lived up to expectations, although you do need to be reasonably fit for the walk back up the hill from the seafront. There was everything we wanted and a very useful welcome pack on arrival. It was always warm and comfortable with some nice touches such as an outside hosepipe to clean sand or mud from mucky boots and paws. A larger screen TV would be beneficial for people who have plans to stay in and watch. We had a lovely stay and definitely plan to return.

However, the immediate neighbours have installed a basketball hoop. When the son is playing it is thump, thump, thump on the decking every second. It is so loud we could hear it inside with all doors & windows shut and over the TV, which made it impossible to sit outside late afternoon/early evening and enjoy the beautiful view !!! I have videos to prove I am not exaggerating. Internally, the main bedroom is delightful, light, airy and with splendid views. The rest of the cottage was much darker than I expected from the photos, and most rooms needed the lights on even on the sunniest of days. As mentioned by previous visitors the lounge needs a bigger TV.

Ideal for the dog-friendly beach, woods and cliff walks. Great access to Lyme Regis. The house had great facilities, was clean and there was a nice welcome pack. We are all very happy with our stay. Thank you
