Guests say

The Lodge in Lyme Regis is praised for its cleanliness, spaciousness, and convenient location close to the town centre and beach. Guests appreciate the well-equipped kitchen, ample parking, and the property's charm and atmosphere. Some concerns were raised about maintenance issues and suitability for those with limited mobility.

Most guests found The Lodge to be very clean, with spotless conditions and high-quality welcome packages. However, there were isolated reports of overlooked areas and dust, slightly affecting the overall impression.

The property's location is highly regarded for its proximity to the town centre and beach, making it a convenient choice for guests. The ease of access to local amenities is a consistent positive in the reviews.

Guests generally find The Lodge comfortable and well-suited for their needs, with plenty of room and comfortable bedding. However, some guests mentioned issues with heating in one of the bedrooms and the suitability of the property for those with limited mobility.

The Lodge is well-equipped and maintained, with a fully stocked kitchen and games for children. Nonetheless, there are mentions of maintenance issues such as heating problems, dampness, and the need for additional keys, which suggest room for improvement.

While guests have mentioned a generous welcome package, there is not enough information to assess the consistency of thoughtfulness across all stays. Therefore, it is politely noted that such gifts, while appreciated, are not guaranteed.

Definitely appreciated the location and front door access on what was one of the hottest and busiest weeks of the year in Lyme Regis. Though in terms of regulating temperature within the house, a pole long enough to open the en-suite velux window would have been an advantage. The advantages of location come at the price of the noise of passing pedestrians, buses, delivery vehicles, and other engines struggling up the hill, which did effect the sleep of those in the front bedrooms, but an inevitable trade off. Having asked a question about EV charging pre booking, I’ve would have liked further information in the pre-arrival instructions or the folder inside the house as to how to get the charger switched on / unlocked. As some of our party travelled by train, we ended up using a public charger near Axminster station instead for the one charge we needed. Overall a very enjoyable holiday.
