Guests say

Lavender Lodge is highly praised for its cleanliness, comfort, and peaceful location in a picturesque village. Guests appreciate the friendly hosts and the proximity to local amenities and attractions. The lodge is well-equipped, though some minor maintenance issues are noted. Welcome gifts are a delightful touch, though not guaranteed.

Guests consistently mention the lodge's cleanliness, describing it as 'spotlessly clean' and 'very clean', indicating high standards of hygiene and upkeep.

The lodge's location is praised for its peacefulness, beauty, and convenience to local shops and pubs. It is also noted as a good base for exploring surrounding counties, although one review mentioned a lack of amenities within walking distance for those with mobility issues.

The majority of guests find the lodge comfortable, mentioning cosy beds and a warm welcome. However, a few guests noted issues with the comfort of the mattresses and seating, slightly impacting the overall comfort score.

Facilities are generally well-received, with mentions of a well-equipped lodge. Some guests suggested improvements such as a larger TV, a dishwasher, and secure outdoor space for pets. Maintenance responsiveness is good, with issues resolved quickly.

While guests express gratitude for welcome gifts such as tea, coffee, milk, and biscuits, there is not enough information to determine if such gestures are consistent across all stays, and as such, a score cannot be accurately provided.

The setting and the village itself are very attractive and everyone is very friendly. Many local walks including The Cleeve close to the lodge. Only things we felt were missing: a permanent side gate to ensure safety of children and pets in the back garden; a retractable clothes line in the back garden as there's nowhere to hang washing in good weather; a chair in the bedroom/s.

A very good place to start your travel to the many places worth visiting in this wonderful part of the Country. Highly recommended.

Only a few steps from the village pub and store. House is comfortable and well furnished, we were only 2 people staying, so plenty of room. Only issue was the small TV, with only basic freeview channels, no HDMI port or streaming options (owner said they would be looking to rectify this). Must go to the Natterjack pub, 20 minutes away, superb food.
