The beach is a stone's throw away from Beachside Cottage. It's ideal if you are seeking a traditional beach holiday, as the property affords views from its own patio area and it is literally a 20 second stroll to the beach.  The large upstairs balcony has panoramic views of the sea stretching from Portland to Lulworth and beyond.  In the evening the twinkling lights yawning their way into Weymouth cast a magical aura across the bay.

The cottage is located in the ever popular location of Bowleaze Cove in Weymouth.  Excellent water sports including Kayaking, windsurfing, kitesurfing and paddle boarding can be enjoyed directly from the front of the property, or perhaps you would prefer to observe, with excellent views form the balcony or living room. We are located directly next door to Jurassic Coast Activities, where you can book a host of activities or where you can hire a paddle board on your door step.

For a change from the beach, a brisk level walk from the cottage is the Lodmoor Country Park, which encompasses the Sea Life centre, Go Karts, Sandworld, Pirate mini Golf as well as the Lodmoor Nature Reserve. Alternatively, keep walking down the seafront to arrive in the centre of Weymouth town, which is about a half an hour walk.

The Spyglass Inn (the local Harvester) or the local convenience store is around a minute walk away and the Oasis Cafe is just a few steps away serving snacks, meals and good coffee.  Excellently located for going out of town for day trips to local beauty spots along the South Dorset coast, or to popular attractions such as Monkey World gives you further options during your stay.

Accommodation:  Beachside is a self-contained house with a step up/down to access.  Ground floor hallway.  Bedroom 1, double bed (access restriction of 10" either side of bed).  Bedroom 2, twin single beds.  Shower room with shower, hand basin, toilet.  1st Floor, New open plan kitchen with breakfast bar / lounge, patio doors and balcony for alfresco dining overlooking the sea.

Car parking is either on road parking or by taking advantage of Beachside's car parking permit giving use of the local car park less than two and a half minutes walk from Beachside, this parking permit also gives free access to eight other car parks in the Weymouth and Portland area (Valid from March to November) This permit does NOT include the car park in front of the beach this is a pay and display car park only monitored at all times with Automatic Number Plate Recognition.
