With shallow waters that entice bathers and those just wishing to dip their toes in the refreshing water the beach has a traditional feel with donkey rides, Punch and Judy shows and ice creams. The town is adjacent to the beach and has a good selection of well-known high street brands and little lanes housing charming independent shops. Eating out in Weymouth is a pleasure and encompasses choices such as fine harbourside dining featuring freshly dived scallops and local seafood to fish and chips enjoyed on the harbourside with the gulls circling and signalling vociferously their interest in sharing your meal.  Discovering other gems in South Dorset is an easy ride away and you may wish to visit Durdle Door and Lulworth, or Chesil beach and West Bay. There are an additional two on road car parking permits available by private payment with the owner at the property .
