The garden is praised for its size and suitability for dogs, though some maintenance issues are noted. The property serves as a good base for exploring the area, with some guests highlighting the need for TLC.

The location is frequently described as quiet and convenient for local attractions and amenities, contributing to a high score. However, access issues with the driveway are a concern for some guests.
Many guests found the cottage comfortable, with special mentions of the beds and the spaciousness. Some minor discomforts are noted, slightly reducing the score.
Facilities like the kitchen appliances and garden are appreciated, but several reviews mention maintenance issues such as chipped tiles and a need for updates. The presence of a hot tub is a positive surprise for some.
While many reviews express gratitude for the welcome packs, there is insufficient information to determine if such gifts are consistently provided. Therefore, a score cannot be given, and guests should not expect these extras as guaranteed.

The owners have worked very hard to rectify all issues, even a new oven. The garden was large and our dogs loved it. There was a surprise in the garden, a hot tub, we didnât use it but felt sure if guests knew about it they could bring the appropriate attire. The beds were very comfortable and we had a great holiday with plenty to explore in the area, lydney harbour is well worth visiting too. Great welcome pack, thank you
Patrick
It had a full range of facilities for example in the kitchen. The garden was lovely and pleasant to sit in in the October sunshine. It had been thoroughly cleaned. The oven was the cleanest we have ever seen on a s/c break. Ample parking was available on the driveway.

Bath needed cleaning as when arrived had hair In it.no garden maintenance or upkeep grass not cut rotting apples all around, and part of garden fenced off with 2 road side cones and mesh??. The fire pit had been used as an ashtray not cleaned out.could benefit from a radio.no review book.driveway still not addressed as other reviews state.stll catches front of car and did reverse on my car is not low is only a fiesta.also no maintenance as in needs weeding and large bush needs trimming, did not state when booking that this was a work in progress, only found out when looked through the pack that was left for us.if I knew this before hand I would not of chosen this property.not many good points but the beds were comfortable, and was in a quiet area.i have stayed with Sykes many times, and never had any issues with thier propertys, sadly I was disappointed with this place and would not recommend it,the pictures that are on Sykes website are out of date (theses need updating).
