Resting on the beachfront at Kewstoke, is this family-friendly semi-detached property, Tilly’s Cottage. Set over a single-storey and sleeping up to six guests with a sofa bed, Tilly’s Cottage is a admirable setting for your next trip to Somerset, within easy reach of Weston-super-Mare. You are greeted to the property by a private driveway with safe parking for up to three cars, as well as an enclosed front garden with lawn for your furry friends to explore. Stepping into the cottage, there is a well-equipped kitchen, with a handy dishwasher, so guests can enjoy home cooked meals. Moving through the cottage, the living/dining room boasts views of the beach front, has a warming electric fire and a dining table where all guests can gather as they toast a wonderful holiday, before grabbing a spot on the sofa to enjoy an evening of television. The property has two sea-inspired bedrooms; a double with plenty of storage and a bunk which is great for the children. To finish the property there is a spacious shower room so guests can wash their sandy feet and freshen up after a long day at the beach. Not only is the property situated on the beachfront, but it is also just a short walk away from the shop for when you need any essentials. The village is also home to the New Castle wine bar and bistro; newly-refurbished ‘Rock Salt’ and ‘The Bay’ restaurants within the South Sands Hotel - both perfect for when you fancy a meal out. Sand Bay fish and chip shop is a stones’ throw away if you fancy a takeaway to enjoy on the dog-friendly beach. There are miles of beautiful coastline to explore locally, right on the doorstep and further afield. Sand Bay is a 1.5 mile stretch of soft sand, with sand dunes and rock pools to explore, and areas perfect for fossil hunting. Take a short drive or catch the open-top bus into the seaside resort of Weston-super-Mare, where you can explore the interesting museums; play a game of crazy golf or a more serious round on the shoreside golf course; indulge in various bars and eateries; relax on the beach with views of Split Battery Rock; take a thrill-seeking ride at Funland Theme Park; watch the boats from the marina or take a stroll up the Grand Pier which has a land train, indoor rides and arcade machines. Within a 30-minute drive are more stretches of coatstline to explore at Burnam-on-Sea, Brean, Clevedon, and Portishead. Also nearby there is a golf course and Puxton Park which offers soft play and slides in 40 acres of countryside, whilst a little further afar you can discover the scenic Mendip Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with its many caves and ancient sites.     Unable to use the rear garden due to overgrown trees and bushes.

    Not everyone can afford to eat out every dayThere was no hand towels for the kitchen or bathroom, we had to buy some.couldn’t access the side gate. Bed in main bedroom was very comfortable, but bunk beds mattresses were rather hard to sleep on. Shrubs etc out the back need pruning back. It’s a nice bungalow and close to the beach and a small shop. We enjoyed our stay.

    maybe an upgrade is needed - channels are not working on BBC 1,2 & 3 it says its on wales? THATS ok in the daytime as you don't need a tv really - but in winter & the evenings its annoying! Also the gardens are in need of a huge pruning!! plants are beautiful but VERY huge now so could do with some maintenance - could also do with a rug down in the lounge Its a bit slippy for a dog? these are just small observations otherwise id score 5 for all 4 but ive scored 5 overall its lovely just a bit of tlc required i feel but definitely a good stay and property ;-)
