The cottages are all quite private from each other with their own little gardens, gates and front doors and we are in a lovely rural area with masses of open countryside for walking or driving around.
If you don't fancy eating out there are several very good takeaways in Winscombe, the nearest large village, deliver, and most large supermarket will deliver groceries from Weston-sup-Mare.

The kitchen had all the equipment required. The only thing missing was a freezer, it wasn't mentioned in the amenities but i assumed there would be a freezer! Can I mention that it would e a good idea to have a notice saying "holiday cottages this way". The large gate looks to be leading leading to an open field, the path winds round to the cottages which can't be seen from the road. My partner Geoff and I had an enjoyable week visiting such places as Glastonbury, Burnham on Sea, Weston Super Mare, and Cheddar Gorge. We visited Wells Cathedral and when we saw the charge was £14 for a years entrance fee we decided not to bother. All told we had an enjoyable week and fortunately we had very little rain that week.

You have control of both the heating and water timings and temperatures. Well appointed with crockery and cutlery, meaning there was plenty to use between dishwasher loads. Its one of a group of 4, all connected. But felt very private with a lovely flat fenced, secure, paved garden. With lots of plants, seating under cover and no noise from the other properties. The outside chairs could do with a little tlc, but everything else was excellent. Beds and 2 large settee's, very comfortable and good TV and wifi reception. We did not find accessing/or the upstairs kitchen an issue. As the stairs were gentle and wide with handrails and it was such a lovely large light space, with a dining table and small excellent 4 star freezer, inside the top of the fridge. Welcome milk/tea/coffee/sugar and cake was a nice touch, along with all cleaning/dishwasher tablets and kitchen roll/trays provided. The wet room upstairs was spacious, warm with an excellent shower and non slip floor. (Fan was a bit noisy) The bathroom down stairs was smaller, but equally warm, with a very comfy bath and non slip floor, a quiet fan and both bathrooms had plenty of hot water and towels. Very responsive owner both onsite and by phone and despite major loss of time due to a total failure of our car, it was so well positioned for getting to Motorway/A roads, we still reached Devon, Somerset, Wiltshire and Gloucestershire all within 90 minutes drive and managed a relaxing stay. Due to it being October half term 2024, traffic was heavier than goggle allowed for journeys. Would 100% recommend and not hesitate to return.
